What we collect

• The email you submit to the waitlist or demo form.
• An approximate country derived from your IP, used only to throttle abuse.
• Anonymous page-view counts via Vercel Analytics. No cookies. No fingerprinting.
• Anonymous crash reports and install/session counts from the desktop app, via Sentry — errors, an anonymized device id, and performance samples only. Never your audio, transcripts, documents, or API keys (these are stripped before anything is sent). Opt out any time by setting BACKSTAGE_TELEMETRY_DISABLED=1.

What we don't

• No third-party tracking pixels.
• No selling, sharing, or brokering data.
• No tracking across other sites.

The product itself

Backstage.AI the desktop application stores all of your documents, transcripts, and embeddings on your own machine. It calls the AI providers you configure (Anthropic, OpenAI, Groq, Google) directly with your API keys — your documents and conversations never pass through a Backstage.AI server. The only data the app sends us is the anonymous crash and usage telemetry described above.

Removing your data

Email roy11.roy22@gmail.com and we'll delete your waitlist record within seven days.

Changes

When this policy changes meaningfully, we'll update the date above and notify waitlist subscribers by email.
